It is necessary for Students at Vancouver Island Motorcycle School to adhere to a strict dress requirement. This rule is enforced and is essential for safety as well as comfort. Denim jacket and jeans are the bare minimum. Thick leather or motorcycle specific jacket and pants are suggested. All students are required to provide their own DOT (Department of Transportation) standards compliant helmet and eye protection. Full finger gloves that cover the wrist, as well as leather boots that cover the ankle are also required. Students are expected to dress appropriately for any weather conditions. For training purposes, Vancouver Island Motorcycle School does provide bikes. Students are more than welcome to enrol in classes with their own bikes provided they are in adequate operating condition. Our instructors have the right to refuse any vehicle they don’t feel is safe for the course. Course Information |
